Meets & competitions

Racing through the season.

Speed Skating Ontario runs three tiers of competition across the season. Hamilton sits in the OSS Western region and typically hosts one meet per season on Family Day.

  • Tier

    Regional

Introductory races for newer skaters, typically ages 6 – 9. Lower volume, friendly format.

  • Tier

    Provincial

The main competitive circuit across Ontario, typically age 9 and up. Multiple meets each season.

  • Tier

    Elite

Invitation-only events for the fastest skaters, typically age 13 and up. Leads into national-level racing.

Specific meet dates aren’t published here — they’re confirmed on the club mailing list and in news posts. See the news feed for the latest meet announcements.
